Silver foil on texas special neck pickup?
I just put in a set of tele texas specials. I peeled off the plastic film off the neck pickup. I little while later I must have nicked the pickup with a metal ruler, cos some silver foil started peeling off. Is this normal? I didn't realise they were foil coated. Is it a problem if it peels off? Should it come off so easily?

Is it just foil, or is the actual chrome plating coming off..???.. The metal under the plating would be dull looking. The plating coming off is not good.. unless you like the 'relic' look.

I put a "paper in oil", .015 cap in my Telecaster. It sounds great, because the oil lubricates the electricity and makes it go faster.
