Suggestions for my '62 Custom Build
I've finished my MJT '62 Custom build. 1st tele I've had with a rosewood fretboard. It's got brass threaded saddles. Would you be so kind as to recommend some pickups? I'm currently playing in an alt country band, but we do some rock type stuff from time to time as well. I generally play on the clean side, or just on the edge of breakup. I tend to think brighter is good, twang and all, and also because it's easier to roll off the tone knob than to try to make a dead sounding guitar bright.
Your input is welcome! Thanks |

With what you've said I'd go with plain old Fender '62 Tele Custom pickups. I have an AV'62RI Custom and it can do all that you're asking.
Many other choices of course, my main experience is with the above. I do have the original steel threaded saddles on my AV. |
