Telenator- when did you start making your own pickup covers for these?
“Upgrading to Telenator pickups can be quite different from a normal swap; for instance if you have a Fender reissue, the company asks that you send its original pickups to them so they can use the logo-embossed covers, thus retaining their original look.”
I had been assuming you still require to be sent a donor pickup which adds another $70 to $80 dollars to the cost of the mod.

Jason, I'm not sure this is a discussion thread so much as a list but, since you asked for clarification, we don't make our own covers. We offer a variety of modifictaions for the wide range humbucker. People send us the pickups from their guitars and we modify them.

If a person chooses to modify their WRHB pickup, they simply take it out of their guitar, send it to us and have it modified, then re-install it. They're done.

If a person does not own a WRHB already, they can buy one on ebay for about $70 and send it to us. Our MOD1 is $85 making the total $155.

New kids on the block - based in East London

Oil City pickups

Currently 3 bridge pickups in their range- Thames Delta, Hard Man and Diesel Tap

The Thames Delta is a 7k (ish) Tele bridge pickup with a bit more kick over a standard wound Tele unit. It has plenty of string definition and twang, with growl available if you need it. It differs to the 9k (again ish) Hard man as the higher output pickup has stronger mids, and will overdrive an amp at lower volumes. The Diesel tap, used with a push-pull pot gives a Delta like 6.5k tapped output and a 9k Hard Man type output.

They also do a Hard Man neck pickup.

I went over and tried them out today and immediately ordered a Diesel Tap for my new Esquire build.

We live in a Golden Age of guitar pickups. We have more excellent choices today than ever before. I, for one, wish to express my gratitude to ALL of the clever and creative people who have brought us such an abundance of tonal options.
