What bridge pup for my 89 Standard Tele
I recently traded my SG Special for an 89 USA Standard Tele. It's a good guitar the way it is, but I think it could be better. The bridge pup is a Seymour Duncan. Not sure what model, but it's a hot pickup. I was thinking of the Fender 52 Tele pup, or the Fender 62. I would love a set of Nocaster pups, but those things are pricey. The guitar has one of those non-active TBX tone controls. I don't realy like that. I have to completly change the tone whenever I switch between pickups. I'd rather have the standard tone control and just turn it down a bit when I switch to the bridge. What pickups do you recommend, and how do I turn the tone back to stock form ? I might even have the guitar refinished to blonde rather than black. It looks good, but I've always loved blonde Teles. I'm sceptical about that though, I don't want to ruin an 89 Tele.

Oh, I forgot to ask about a 4-way switch. Would it be a good thing to add ? I'm basicly thinking of taking the TBX out, replace the Seymour Duncan, and install a 4-way switch. I was also considering putting a Strat neck pickup in it. This is quite a few changes, but I thik it will be worth it in the end. What should I do and not do ?
