Stratocaster Pickup?

Squire V.M. Strat '70s Black One Piece Maple Neck.

Which of these pickups should I try next?
- Seymour Duncan YJM Pickguard
- EMG DG20
- D. Allen Johnny Blades
- Kinman Hank Marvin
- DiMarzio Billy Corgan Strat® Replacement Pickguard
- Zexcoil Signature Set
- Lace Sensor Light Blue {Neck/Bridge}
- Lollar Chicago Steel For Strat {Neck/Bridge} & Supro Steel Guitar {Middle} - Wired to a 4 way blade switch {Bridge, Middle, Bridge/Neck, Neck}

I haven't tried any of those, but I think DiMarzio Areas are great.

And I think the Vintage Modified 70s Strats are a great value and a nice guitar that gets no notice even though they sell for $120 less than the CV and use pretty much the same hardware.

As a Delawarian I say go w the cutting edge Zexcoils.lol.Light Blues are my favorate Lace,everything the Blues have w-out the mud, but maybe just the N so you can have the sparkley M+B tone. I agree that the N parallel B needs to be on a Strat (great as series too,no darkness), but just adding a p/p pot allows that + all 3 in parallel.

I don't know anything about the D Allen Johnny Blades but I have a set of his CS Austin Blues and they are amazing. Best customer service too.

Check out Bill Lawrence's Wilde pickups, which are astoundingly good and not expensive.

Many thanks. The blades I made for Johnny Hiland have an extremely wide tonal plain which make them great for a variety of music and they are dead silent.
Johnny Duke (Little Big Town) and Pat Buchanan are now both playing them.
Here is what Johnny had to say about them.

I will have the Tele version out in a couple weeks.

Richie Blackmore. I just use the Middle w the Bridge in series , its too squirrelly by itself, and too muddy w the Neck. N parallel B sounds better too.
