fat telecaster wiring

hi guys

I am trying to wire my guitar like a fat telecaster, according the the diagram below

My only issue is that I have a lollar mini humbucker that has a metal cover and 4 wires (red, green, bare and black). Do I wire it exactly as in the diagram above and solder the black to the volume pot? Or should it be done in a different way?

Would be grateful for any help!

andrea :-)

I like Seymour Duncan's diagrams because they're easy to read. I think the overall principle is the same in this one. It should work as long as you don't plan on splitting the humbucker coils.
