Highway 1 strat pickups?
I picked up an hss highway 1 strat for cheap this week. Its an hss so I got a sss pulled loaded highway 1 alnico 3 pickguard as it seems these go for more on the resale market should I decide to sell. The pickguard came from the same year 2007 as my guitar so are these going to sound the same (neck and middle) as the ones on the hss guard? Should I waste my time putting it in or go ahead and upgrade them to say 57/62 or cs69's?
Also, I'm hearing the bridges are kinda sucky? What's the problem with them?
