Depending on what you want, generally about a 1 year wait at this point though.

I had read on another forum that he might be focusing on some new humbuckers he's designed and wait times could be even longer. I'd love to try his Broadcaster set but I think they run about 300 bucks.

Yep. I talked to him on the phone last year and the wait was 6 months. Now it's more a year. And $300 for a set. Wowza !

With all due respect, life is too short for that. Plus,by the time you receive
them, the p.u. " experts " will have moved on to another winder.

This is why I gave up ( other than the year wait and steep price tag )... When I finally decided to order mine, I sent him a few emails and never got an answer.

Hans
I know we had discussed his Broadcaster and 52 sets. He probably has a 60s inspired pickup set too. I think he can pretty much make anything, though...

no down payments accepted.

i called him and spoke with him. then i wrote his wife an email stating what i wanted. she said she put me on the list and will contact me 3-4 weeks before he begins to build them. ( payment is due then ) he was really nice and answered every question and never seemed in a hurry to get off the phone.

Same here. He made me feel like he cared about me getting my tone as much as he does when he deals with Brad Paisley or Marty Stuart...

That's good to hear. Did you email him or call him?

I think YOUR life is too short for that... other folks may not mind waiting for something they really want.... and some guys aren't just following the crowd and actually want pickups from Ron.

Try budz.... He will take care of you and some say his are better than Ron's. Of course, can't be proven but I have 2 sets on order and feel good about it.

I love my Budz Duffs and Mare's. Would love to try Ron's but I think the 6 month wait is a little optimistic as folks have recently waited over a year. If things have changed, I might have to sign up for a set of his Broadcasters.
