80s Guild has California Pick-Up Co. made by Dimarzio?

Ive had a Guild Flying Star since they came out in the 80's. I have read online that they built their own pickups but then I also heard they were made Dimarzio. Any one know about it?

I would view that as a plus. Guild pickups were OK but never raved about.

I do not think they were made by Dimarzio.

Dimarzio had their thumb on the 80's movement and the pickup in this guitar is in my opinion why it failed (as did the series)

The body style was obviously marketed to metal guys but the pickup is PAF'ish on output. Not even strong PAFish. Not bad sounding but weak for a humbucker.

I dont know who made it but the materials dont look anything like Dimarzio of the era.
