New classic vive 50’s

I’m purchasing either the ("Squire Vintage-Blonde" NewClassicVibe 50’s Tele w/Alnico-THREE in the e bridge) - OR - the ("Squire Butterscotch Blond” Tele w/Alnico-FIVE in the bridge). I was able to compare them in a music store for only a few minutes. The store was closing down and I didn’t have enough time to make a decision on which pickups were going to sound best in my situation. I think I might like the Alnico-II’s the best though. Do you guys have a real experienced opinion on which of those pickups you like the most in the bridge position of this guitar. It would be greatly appreciated!...
Thank-so much!

Sincerely,
Brian Morrow

If you want that classic 50's vintage tone you want the 3's. I have a 51 NC with Alnico 3's and I'm putting OV 3's in another MIM Tele I have. Just a very nice chimey bell like tone. Very shimmering and transparent. The 5's have a more modern sound.

Spend more time playing them and see which you like best but my preference is the 3s.

Thanks so much for your advice. That helps allot. The Alnico 3’s were my thoughts as well. Having someone else with the same opinion makes me feel more confident in my decision. Much appreciated! I’ll go with the Alnico 3 stocked Classic Vibe 50s.

I swapped the A5's out of my CV50's BSB tele.. They we're a bit too twangy for my tastes. Didnt sound bad though..

In my opinion, the pickups are a non issue when purchasing an axe. If I were you, I would consider the axe which feels best in your hands...you can always swap out pups..not as easy to swap out necks

Agreed. I love the 3s and find them very different from the 5s in other Squier models.

Agree - go with the feel of the guitar.

Disagree - a string winder, capo and screwdriver will have me swapping necks in 5mins flat
