The way those photos are taken makes the pickup look huge! So what is it, out of interest?

It's a standard size Telecaster bridge pickup shown in very good detail.

Looks like a DiStefano-made tele bridge pickup. Right?

42 guage at 8.51k
is that about 10-11 thousand windings?
AlNiCo V

I wound an 8.02k with 42 SPN and that thing was a chubby little fella.
I could only get a single wrapping of the twine around it. two layers and it wouldn't fit into the bridge.

Sounds like a great deal Rob. Looking around, the only place I could put it would be in my McCawber wanna be. I have some mystery p'up in there that reminds me of the Georgia Sattelites tone in Keep Your Hands to Yourself. I have a recently removed SD Broadcaster I'm thinking about putting in there. If you think your model will do at least as good a job, and the offer is still open, pm the details to me(obligations, selling price etc.)

shipped out yesterday to tele-monster, and in turn he'll ship it to sean001 - if you send me a pm with your name and address i'll ask sean001 to ship it on to you.

the only spex/instructions are ...

cavalier lion bridge tele - vulcanized flatware build, north up alnico5 mags, clockwise wind, 8.5k resistance, 42awg formvar coil wire

1. there is no ground strapping, so if you haven't done so with yer tele/esquire, just stick a small bare ground wire under the bridge before screwing it down, and run that bridge ground wire to any ground location inside the control cavity (i.e. - back of a pot). without ground strapping, the leads can be swapped within the control cavity to fix any possible phasing issue.

2. the lead ends are well tinned - please don't cut them, just solder on to the switch and back-of-pot ground. pm/email me directly if you;re soldering impaired and/or just need assistance.

3. experiment with pup height! this is important!

4. when done testing for a few dayze or a week, please ship to the next tester ...
