I liked this pickup enough that I bought it. I was the second guy in line to try it. I stuck it in my 50's reissue esquire and was very pleased. I will write my review tomorrow but I wanted Rob (who I have no relationship with other than this pick up) to get a little bump. I also wanted others in on this to know where it was at. I just realized this p/u was made on 6/12, my birthday.

Rob said he was going to send another pick up out to dog fart and start the circulation again.
@Dr Bill, the Cavalier Lion is listed as $60 plus shipping on his site (frettech.com)

too shortsighted... the sum total of numbskullery on this thread would cause many a vendor to shrug and walk away.
it is too bad too... anything Rob would make would be really cool and really valuable... the internet is free!

That might be a bit harsh. Reading the above I think many of the posters, including the guy who bit on the offer, don't know who Rob is. Also people are jaded. They are suspicious of good will. I'm only sorry I didn't come across this thread when it was fresh. I would have snapped it up in a nano second.

gosh, thanks for the explanation of the users of this site, I don't spend enough time here to be able to have the grasp you do... you have a right to your thoughts and I to mine. I think once in awhile people could kind of try a little harder... I know, I know you are right (because you think so) that we should just accept it and clearly you understand the users here better than I ever could... Rob DiStefano is a treasure and has earned the respect of the folks who pay attention.

sean001 - thanx for checking out the lion.
fezz - no, YOU da man! you guyz have GOT to check out fezz winds!!! seriously! colt w. knight - you have a pm and yer in the test lineup if you wish dr. bill - as sean said, i sell cav lions for $60 +shipping, but the pass around test lion can be purchased for a flat $50 after it arrives at ya flyingbanana - unlike a tele/esquire bridge pup, it would be difficult to create a pass around test cav tiger (strat) that would work well for any strat position ... maybe i'll do a bridge/neck combo. getbent - huh?

I've been standing at my mailbox since I got the PM, but I had to come in. It was cold and I forgot my sox
I've been following Rob since I first started hanging out here. Rob always comes across as someone who knows what he's talking about without getting loud or pushy. I have been curious about his winds, of course I jumped at a risk free chance to try one out. Marketing genius that shows a level of trust you don't find everyday. Yeah I got in the line, believe me I've stood in line for worse BTW I don't think loud and pushy people is a big problem round here

Definitely a nice looking pickup! If I were not so far behind I'd snatch it up. I've been watching Rob for a while and when he speaks people should listen!

Just thought id chime in....
The Lion was a really nice pickup! The only reason I didn't buy it was because I didn't really need another tele pup, but thought it would be fun to try out. It had AMAZING low end but still remained clear and detailed in the highs. What I mean is it wasn't muddy. It sounded really good with OD too. It actually sounded huge compared to my Fralin BS.... For 60 dollars I would buy this pickup ALL DAY LONG! Rob you gots the skills doggie! Im very anxious to hear others views on this pup. I think it would be a perfect country/rock pup.
