I got a Duncan Broadcaster (for Tele) pu for free !

My good friend did some spring cleaning and gave me an SD Broadcaster[b] pick up.

Thanx Mark !!!

So, seeing that i only have a bridge unit, i am thinking of getting a neck unit now.
I want a nice warm mellow bass tone.
More importantly is : when the toggle is in the middle pos. i want to hear both neck and bridge units in a 50/50 configuration.
i.e. the biting bridge treble tone with the warm and mellow neck tone at the same time, in equal preportions.

I am thinking about the Duncan A2P neck.

What do you guys think ?

Cheers

I think the A2P will be too high output. You'll probably have better luck with a Seth Lover.

The regular SD Vintage Tele neck pickup matches up well with the SD Broadcaster. I had that combo in a tele for about fifteen years.

It's been discussed here before, but some think that the SD Vintage Tele neck is too warm; my preference is the Fender Original Vintage 52 neck -- you'll have to move the cover ground from one eyelet to the other and swap the black and white leads at the switch and pot, but the sound difference is worth the effort. YMMV
