Wiring Problem

Okay--I successfully installed new pickups in my tele thinline, and new push/pull pots to activate coil tapping for each P/U without changing looks. I should say 80% effectively. Here's the problem:

Neck: I used one Gotoh PAF Humbucker, which apparently has the same color code as a SD and polarity--this splits fine, and sounds fine. :D

Bridge: I used an Armstrong HighOutput Humbucker. I found a pickup color code chart for this, but I am not convinced it is correct, b/c the split sounds extremely thin. :(

Also, I have a phasing problem between the two--is it as simple as flipping the p/u 180 degrees, or do I need to resolder?

LAST, but not least, I looked at 10-15 schematics for push/pull coil tapping, and they are not uniform--sometimes the wires are on the left, sometimes the right. How do I match the orientation of my pots?

THANKS!
