Seth Lover + Lil' 59 = ??? (or other HB+HB combos)

Has anyone done this? I want to rock out my telecaster without having to rout the body (already has swimming pool cavity in the neck position). I would like to retain the playability of my telecaster, but gain the benefits of more of a Les Paul hum canceling sound. If I don't use a full sized HB in the neck, what hum canceling pickup could I consider to achieve the same result? From what I can tell, an important consideration is that the pickups are well matched to one another. Tell me your stories! Thanks.

68 telecaster - I have a 1970 D'Imarzio PAF for the neck and a "lil 59" in the bridge.

Didn't change any pots or caps - the "lil 59" is a bit dark sounding but for doing Blues leads it works really well.

Way better sound than the guys who get on stage with their ice-picks and skinny string sound - immediate ear fatigue.

The axe can do any kind of gig - jazz, hard-rock, soft-rock, pop, r&b.

Not much demand for country twang where I live.

Thanks, this is exactly the type of info I am after. Can you tell me what the value of the pot in your tele is? Have you done anything fancy to split the coils (assuming this can be done)?

The Lil 59er is great in either bridge or neck. It wont twang. At all. But it does rawk! nicely.

I knew a guy who had a tele with that in the bridge and a Cool Rails in the neck and both were coil tapped, using push/pull volume knobs, and a 5 way switch, and it got a wide range of sounds. I'm no wiring maestro and I have no idea how to do it, but, it can be done.
