Right now it's giving me a 403 error each time I try to load the page at your link and telling me "It seems you don't belong here! You should probably try logging in?"

I did a comparison against the L48T and L45S in my parts guitar today. The micro-coil sound much nicer, again they sound sweeter... The L48/45 can be a tad brittle to my ears, though this might be because of the rest of the electronics in that guitar. The more I use these micro-coils the more I like them. |

I just got mine in the mail the other day... a full Strat set (with cool t-shirt! Yeah!!!)
I am dying to get mine put onto a pickguard and get them installed in my Strat to see what they sound like, but the week ended crazy as could be! Anybody else got the Strat set yet?

I have a question. I seem to remember some talk of the MicroCoils a few months ago and a special feature involving using capacitors or resistors to get specific voicing (ie. 50s, 60s) out of the pickups. Am I imagining this or was it possibly for another pickup?

I seem to remember something about that too. Wouldn't it just involve changing the capacitor on the tone knob? I don't imagine it being much different to regular pickups in that regard, though I could be completely wrong |

Yeah, you can skim off highs or lows with any pickup. This was something a lot more specific like use ___ cap or resistor for ___ era's tone. I may be completely off or perhaps it was another pickup.

I don't know about era tones, but the idea seems to be that the short coil gives the capacitor much more control over the overall tone than it has with normal pickups. It all seems pretty voodoo to me, but that thread there is where you'll find your answers. |

Cool, thanks. I'm not sure if that is what I read before but I'll have some good reading material for tomorrow.

Anyone got a pic of the M/C Tele neck??
Only the bridge pup pics are up on the Wilde site. Just wondering if its a full outer cover or with exposed windings? I've steered away from the latter as I tend to get my E-string caught up under the bobbin...

Yeah its a full plastic cover and they are changeable unlike the Keystones. You get 3 sets (one of each color) with an order of the Strat keystones.
