haha. i was bored today so i took my squier 72 custom tele. removed the stock neck pickup and replaced it with a Gibson 57 classic from my ES-335 i had left over from 3 years ago. the 57 classic was just sitting on my desk collecting dust so im like, heck lets see how this baby would sound in the squier.

ITS SWEEEET. very satisfied. 8)

Yup, with a plank guitar it's all about the pickups. 57's are nice.

Is your squier one of the Customs in current production? If so, what are the sizes of the pickup routes on it? They are making a Custom with two HBs and a Custom II with two P-90s. I'm wondering if they route those two models from the factory identically, such that the HB-equipped Custom could be retrofitted with the wider, standard size P-90s, or possibly even the large Fender wide range 'buckers?
