GFS Humbuckers - What wires where?

I have just painstakingly wired a Tele deluxe using GFS buckers (using a Duncan diagram) and I'm begining to think that the different pups, while they have the same exact colors of wire, have the wires mean different things.

Anyone give me the quick and dirty of which colors go where with the GFS bucker?

Thanks!

Shouldn't the GFS 'bucker have come with a diagram in the box that lists what wires do what?

Black and Red are ground. Green and white are hot. If you're wiring it with just 2 wires then solder red/white together.

Green (+), Black (-), white to red

Edit: Sorry for redundancy, Necksnapper beat me.

Sorry guys. I'm very new to the humbucker stuff.

So white and red together, black and ground to the back of the pot and green to the terminal?

Again, thanks so much!

I think it may be more than just mixing up the wires.

As it's currently wired, It doesn't make a sound. If it were just mixing up the green and black wires, it would make SOME sound, right?

mixing up the the green & black wire is no biggie you should still hear it in full humbucking mode they should be your 2 start wires

I have gone over this wiring job with a fine tooth comb. I have followed every connection from one point to the next and made sure everything is solid.

I cannot for the life of me, get even the slightest sound out of this guitar.

I am close to going insane.

Is the Duncan diagram a reliable one? I have followed it to the millimeter (substituting green and black).

DAMMIT!
