Which mini bucker
would put in your tele guitar? Gibson, Seymour or some other brand. I have a pete florence brodacasted bridge I will pair it up with. But I have always liked the the Duncan J. Donahue bridge if there is a good match for that.

I'd go with one of Chris Klein's Tele neck MiniHB's:
http://www.kleinpickups.com/p-206-te...humbucker.aspx He also makes a cool Tele neck Firebird pickup: http://www.kleinpickups.com/p-228-te...rd-pickup.aspx |

I can't say enough good things about a Seymour Duncan SM-1 in the neck position. This comes standard on the Hot Rod '52 AVRI telecater. Check out some youtube clips of this guitar if you want to hear how it sounds in a tele.

Allparts Mini-humbucker. Put one in my HR clone and I'm thrilled with it. The really good vintage Gibson minis were great, but it was hit-or-miss on quality. The Allparts minis are made to those specs, but are rock-solid on build quality. Wax-potted and all. I've had a few folks play it now and they've all been floored by the neck pup, before I even told them what it was.

Go for the Seymour Duncan SM-1. I also have a Hot Rod Tele which comes with this PU and itīs amazing! Itīs the best PU I know. It doesnīt rob treble like most (full size) humbuckers do. Itīs still very twangy, but of course you can get all the bluesy and jazzy sounds out of it.
If you should go for a Gibson PU, beware that the Firebird PU without polepieces (like the Duncan SM-1) is a completeley different animal than the PU they built in the Les Paul Deluxes in the 70ies (the ones with polepieces). The polepiece version sounds much darker and hasnīt got all that treble. Itīs more like a regular humbucker, whereas they put the non-polepiece PU in the Firebird in order to sound a bit "straty" and therefore to win Fender buyers. Good luck! Daniel |

Seymour Duncan Antiquity. Haven't heard a better mini-HB yet. Sounds like a Tele PU on steroids. Have one in one of my Strats in the bridge. Super!!!

Thanks for the help. I guess I should say I play blues and some classic rock. Don't venture far from that. And like I said I really like the jerry Donahue bridge, but if you have suggestions I am listing. I am leaning toward the SM-1 simply because I think I can get one cheap and no one says anything bad about them. But the Seymour Duncan Antiquity is in the running also.
