finally found THE fat-tele pickup combo
so after a long while swapping pickups in this guitar I9'03 ash US standard)
I'm finally there, this is it! ![]() seymour duncan seth lover SH-55 in the neck Kinman Broadcaster in the bridge even though I custom ordered the seth with four conductor wiring (normally it comes with just two) I've actually only wired it up with a three-way switch maybe down the road I'll add a push-push vol pot for the split sound such a beautiful mellow neck sound Blues soloing is effortless and jazz chords just melt the notes together (I'm not into this type of music at all really but I'll certainly be playing it more as it sounds so damn nice!) the Broadcaster I've had in there a while now and if you want a big aggressive tele bridge pickup that doesn't take your head off by being to trebley when driven look no further! very dynamic and articulate you'll hear every note in a chord, and for me the real deal closer is the middle pickup spot it's effortless! for fingerpicking rhythm electric I don't think I've ever heard a better sound so clear yet warm plenty of sustain awh I'm gushing now but if you've got a fat tele and are unhappy with a muddy neck pickup thats too loud for the bridge check this out!!! now if I can only decide Glendale or Callaham for the bridge... |

Nice! I'll have to check out the Kinman for the bridge. Nice looking Tele, BTW.
I can see you've been doing a lot of pup swapping - there seems to be only two screws holding on the pickguard. : )

Honestly I didn't think the kinman neck pickup was anything special, not bad but it didn't "sing" like the bridge pickup
yeah gonna have to fix that up! alot of my old pickguard screws have corroded heads to I think I'll get some new ones first |
