GFS Neovin Set $29.99

Went out for lunch and picked up a "Used" set of these for 29 bucks. The leads are tinned but do not appear to have ever been installed. Anyone have these in their Tele's? I have been wanting to try some of the GFS pickups and have not had a chance until now.

Let me know your likes and dislikes and experiences. I figure for $29 not much to lose if they are horrible.

Thank for any input ahead of time.

Put a set on a Squire Bullet Hardtail Strat last year with pretty impressive results. They're really height sensitive, but I liked the tone.

I want to try the Neovins. So far I've tried all three Lil Puncher bridge pickups and like them all. Also I have a Lil puncher Modern Lead Set in my Blackpoole relic. I really like that set.

I may throw them in one of my Teles tommorow and see how they sound.

I have the Neovin "hard vintage" in my Squier and I like them a lot. They really ARE quiet, which is the point of noiseless of course. I think they lose a little of the classic Tele twang but they still sound good. But be aware that you have to get them VERY close to the strings to get a good sound out of them. Can't beat 29 bucks for those.

I installed them in my project Tele. It is a Late 90's MIM that has been Modded, Hot Rodded and fiddled with countless times.
They sound really nice. They are definitely quiet from the virtual noiselessness and seemingly a little lower output. Not so much though that it is a bad thing.
The seem to have a little different voicing than the stock Tele pickups. They are fatter and smoother sounding to me. No ice pick or shrill brightness even with the treble cranked on my amp.

I like them. If I founfd another set for $29 I would pick them up. I do not konw what I woudl do with them but I woudl pick them up. I will see if I can get a sound sample linked up this weekend.

$29 well spent.

I like the neck but not the bridge.
