Pickup trouble! Please help me!!

First off, Hello everyone! I just joined after visiting this site at least 100 times. I have a serious problem with a Grizzly Telecaster style kit that I have finished assembly on recently and I was hoping to find some help! This is the first time I have ever used this type of guitar!!

It is set up with a 3 way switch (obviously)

The bridge pickup sounds great (for what it is. Cheap.)
When the switch is in the middle position, The guitar tone doesn't change a bit.
Finally, when the switch is in the neck position, the sound just DROPS OFF so drastically that it is UNBELIEVABLE!!!

I can definitely hear the sound coming through but it seems so abnormally quiet compared to the bridge pickup. I have checked the wiring against the wiring diagram provided with the guitar and also a wiring diagram I found that is from Seymour Duncan. Both diagrams are alike.

What am I doing wrong??

Are you sure you added the jumper wire on the switch.

That is the wire that runs from the top terminal on the left, to the terminal below it then to the second from the bottom on the right side then to the last. All one wire, then that goes to the volume

Re-check all grounds

Are you sure the neck pickup is good ?

wiring diagram for mine is different...

my wiring diagram looks a little different...it's more like this:

actually, upon closer inspection this one is just like yours.

mine doesn't have that. instead, it has 8 terminals in a single row.

hot wire for neck pickup attaches on t2
hot wire for bridge pickup attaches on t7

there is a ground wire attached to the back of the switch-not on a terminal just soldered there where the switch is housed.

i grounded the pickups there at that ground on the back of the switch instead of the volume pot.

that is the only thing i did differently-where i grounded the pickups.

so i should have a ground wire touching every terminal that is not being used by a pickups hot wire?? and from the last terminal it should go straight to the volume pot to be grounded??

EDIT: nvm

EDIT 2: Your switch needs to be similar to this diagram instead.

ok. this is very similar to what i have....but.

are the wires on terminal 2 actually supposed to touch 2 and 3??

or is it just drawn in between them all for some reason.

let me include a couple of pics here:

Some switches already have terminals connected - 2 & 3, 4 & 5 and 6 & 7. If yours is not like that, you need to make your own links between those terminals.

Here is an example of switches that already have the connections.

This looks like your switch, without any pre-made connections.
