DiMarzio True Velvet
I just installed the True Velvet in my Tele 52 reissue, both of them, plus the 4 way switch.
I recorded some samples if you are interested to ear how they sound like. the switch order is always from the bridge to the neck: B, B+N(parallel), B+N(series), N the amp is the Epiphone Valve Junior. There is no compression and I didn't touch the volume between the different sets: http://pguiducci.com/tmp/tele_true_velvet_1.mp3 http://pguiducci.com/tmp/tele_true_velvet_2.mp3 The neck pick up has almost double output than the original, at least now I'm going to use it even alone. |

I need to correct myself. The order of the sample recorded is not:
B, B+N(parallel), B+N(series), N The following is the correct 4 way switch order: bridge, bridge+neck(parallel), neck, bridge+neck(series) the 4th position (the pups in series) sounds similar to an humbucker. Sorry for the mistake. -- http://pguiducci.com Last edited by mazapegul; January 5th, 2010 at 05:22 PM. |
