Favorite Humbucker Pairings?

What are some of your favorite humbucker pairings?

I always dug a Duncan Jazz neck paired with a '59 in the bridge - my take on the Burstbucker 1+2 combo (which is also nice). Great in a Les Paul.

Currently my Charvel has a '59 in the neck with a Custom 5 bridge. The stock JB was too distorted; the Custom 5 gives it a boosted vintage tone.

I've recommended the Jazz/Lil '59 combos for Teles before - seems like that does the trick too!

I like a pair of '59's, that's what currently in my #1. Really sweet, not quite as syrupy as a Jazz up front, little more cut to my ears. But I like the Jazz too. I totally agree on the JB. Never liked those, nice enough tonality, just too hot.

One of my all time favorite all around rock and roll humbucker pairing would be a DiMarzio Air Norton neck, and PAF Pro bridge. Really big and airy, with gorgeous highs that don't get shrill.

My favorite Gibson combo is a 490R and 490T. They come stock in some of the SG models. Really warm and balanced with great sustain because of the lower output. Smooth as a baby's backside. Great slide set.

Also found a good combo by accident once...

I bought an ES335 with no pickups in it. I was in a hurry to play it, so I went digging through my parts drawer, and came up with a '59 Trembucker, and a 70's Gibson T-bobbin. I thought I'd toss 'em in there unitl I could get a more suitable set ordered. I left them in there the whole time I owned the guitar. Sounded like a million bucks paired up in that axe.
