How high are your Alnico III bridge pickups?

How close to the strings are yall setting your A3 tele bridge pickups?

I have the Don Mare Hot Bakelite's in my tele, A5 neck and A3 bridge. I love the texture of the bridge. Overall, I just can't settle on a height with this pickup. I like the airyness of it backed down a bit, but I also like how it pushes when raised up close to the strings. Setting it somewhere in the middle just does nothing for me, I'm constantly tweaking.

I vote that all Tele players be allowed to own 9 Teles at all times!
A cat gets 9-lives -- Tele Players get 9-Teles - It's the new* Law - effective immediately in all countries! -

I would adjust for any sounds that you can't really coax - or- get at the amp or even on the knobs of the guitar - that would be the happy spot - I hope

I usually hover about a nickel on the lead side and a little more on the bass side with strings pressed down on the last fret

good luck
Don

I have the FS's and have mine set at 8/64" Bass side and 6/64" Treble side. Measured from the bottom of the strings to the top of the pick-up with string depressed at the last fret. I play primarily rhythm so for lead you may want to go a bit higher, but this works pretty well for me.
