WRHB resistance question.

Is 12.6 kOm right for old (no RI) WRHB?

That is unusually high. Most are about 10.4 or 10.5 Mine is 10.5.

That sounds more like the reading you'd get from a set of Japanese RI WRHB's.

The Japanese pickups look very similar to the original vintage WRHB's.

Post some photos of the top and bottom. There are always clues.

Take a picture later. In general, it is good or bad? :)
Thanks.

It doesn't seem like an original American made 70's WRHB. Not with those DC ohms readings. Like spankdplank said, it should read in the 10.5k area although I have seen them as low as 10.2k and high as 10.8k.

Those are Japanese.

The wire is of the wrong type and the hole where it comes out of the baseplate is in the wrong place for those to be original American WRHB's. Those are hot pickups with a bright edgey sound best suited for rock.

Depends on your brand of blues.
