ITs been 3 weeks and No word about keystone order.

I have a reciept from paypal, but no word from Bill or Becky. I dont even know if they recieved the money alright. I know they are in a change now. But I wish i knew if the pickups will be sent, at least a confirmation that the order went through. Not sure what to do.

Have you called Becky

Hi,

I'd call Becky (if you haven't) I ordered a set about 3 weeks ago and they arrived within 10 days or less from my paypal order. I just ordered the regular Tele chrome cover set so I don't know if you ordered something more specialized or whether they just had mine in stock?

Hope this helps,
DRx. Hepcat

I'd be super patient.

Bill and Becky have an unmatched reputation for integrity over many many years; with the move, some orders have gone out and others have not. I'm waiting to order anything until all the excitement eases down.

All I can promise is, when you do get your product, you'll forget you ever had to wait.

I spoke to Bill yesterday and he said Becky was going to their Corona office most days to ship pickups. In fact, she was there at the time we spoke.

It seems their existing inventory and shipping supplies are at the "old" office in Corona and the equipment and people etc are at the new factory in Huntington Beach. So, Becky goes over to Corona and ships products from their existing inventory.

In today's internet shopping world we are used to and comfortable with online operations that automate every step. You place an order and you receive a confirmation. The order processes and you receive a confirmation. The order ships and you receive a confirmation.

But, many small time operations are more rooted in the old methods of selling. You mail an order via the Postal Service with a bank check for the item. The vendor receives it and processes it and ships the order.

Even though your Pickup order was placed "online" and you ordered and paid via the internet Bill and Becky still treat it that "old" way. You don't get confirmations that are sent automatically at each step of the way. You just wait and your pickups arrive.

That's it.

Thank you for the explanation.
I know that the Lawrences and great and honest people. I was just afraid that a PC might have messed up the order, or something.

yeah i placed an order 2 and a half weeks ago for the much-vaunted tele keystones. i wanted to get a set before Lace messed with them and/or before the price went up. not saying either of these things are gonna happen but i didn't want to take my chances. anyway i knew that there would likely be extra wait time in this transition period, and i'm fine with that. heck in the best of circumstances some folks get nervous about their bill lawrence pickups order. that's the price you pay when dealing with a smaller hands-on operation. well worth it, i'd say.

I paid my order via Paypal bank on september 11th and received a delivery notice (from the post office) 2 days ago... Pretty sure it's my pickups. I'll tell you when I'll be able to go to the post office, after work!

Don't worry, you'll get your pickups!

edit:

Nope... it was not my Noise free pickups! I'll wait a bit again, I guess!!

3 weeks is not long to wait for something. I ordered some Don Mare's over 2 months ago. Some of these small business folks cannot possibly keep up with the demand. But I think that is the price for a quality made product.

So well said.

I had expressed my misgivings to Becky, about getting the e-commerce thing all fired up when there's not enough manpower to fill the orders that fast. But I was spoiled, I liked talking on the phone, sending a check and I knew eventually Santa Claus would arrive (ask Bill about Santa Claus ).

We waited 4-7 weeks in the past. There's no additional staff to wind the pups or box them or ship them, then there usta be. At least not yet.
