Gretsch Modern Filtertron pickup adjustment

After about 50 years of playing guitar, and some 50-60 guitars, I finally bought a new Gretsch so it's my first experience with filtertron pickups.

Any veteran gretsch tweekers here?

Do you have a favorite adjustment scheme for the dual pole adjustments on the filtertron?

Like front screws higher or lower etc.

I am not really dissatisfied with them just wondering if
someone has had better results with a particular setting etc.

Thanks,,

Like any pickup, with pickup body closer to strings, more fatness and midrange, less treble and clarity. With pickup body lower, and polepieces higher, better clarity and treble response, less midrange. Adjust one set of the polepiece screws (usually the "center" set of screws) to balance string to string volume. Most people adjust filtertrons VERY close to the strings.
