Eh, no worries. My first reaction was the same as yours: someone with other than a oscilloscope for ears can tell whether a pickup has a plastic, chromed cover on it? Wow.

But I'm less than six months into learning how to play guitar, so my rendition of Skip to My Lou is gonna suck either way.

ROTFLMAO !

If Skip to my Lou is a little challenging now you could sink yourself down to plucking good 'ol Mary had a little lamb.

Hang in there and keep at it. It is a little discouraging for a while because you want to play well FAST & SO BAD ! It will come and as long as YOU are happy and have fun with it, it doesn't matter how good you get.

I've been playing for over 35 years and make the mistake of snooping around on youtube and start to cry when I see how some of these folks can play It is a CRUEL WORLD !!!!!

Best of luck !

I just got mines. I'll install them as soon as I can.
This are my readings, for the archives:

Keystone Tele deluxe pickup set (chrome cover). Oct. 2009

Neck: 7.54 k / 1.86 H

Bridge: 7.45 k / 3.55 H

Look at the neck pup inductance, how did Bill did it?
It will be very clear sounding for shure...!

Thank you Bill, Becky and your team!

they are very good pickups, but you could be in for a LONG wait. I ordered over 6 weeks ago and still never arrived.

Well we never did hear back from Biz Prof the OP. Maybe he's a bag of bones slumped over a tele still waiting for his.

I waited for my Keystone set for about three weeks and I'm in Spain. Not bad.

I think the problem is no one tell you that your order is being processed and/or shipped.
I wanted to order some more items (cable, connectors, Q filter) but I couldn't for that reason. I attached a message with my PayPal order but they didn't contact me...

Just decided to join the club and ordered a deluxe set for my SX tele. I guess running that through the 30W all tube amp I just finished building will be great!

I ordered a set of Keystone Strat pups on 9/20 and received them on 10/22. They are shipping, it just takes a while.

Installed, they read 9.1k, 5.5k and 5.4k. For true single coils they are very, very quiet. But they are not noiseless. I'm still experimenting with pickup heights for these. But so far, I like them.
