What all kinds of pickups are there?

It's all basically one working principle, but how many kinds of magnetic pickups are there?

You've also got active and passive pickups. There are also pickups that are humbuckers, but they are stacked so they look and sound like single coils without the hum.

Lace Sensor pickups use a unique configuration. Then there's their Alumitone series which is quite possibly the wackiest pickup ever.
