I bought a loaded Strat pickguard to try. I really didn't care for them. They are probably an improvement over a Starcaster or Chinese Strat copy but I don't think they are any better than a MIM set. Pups are so subjective, you might love them. They are cheap enough to try and easy enough to resell if they don't blow up your skirt.

"MIM" = "Made in Mexico"
"MIA" = "Made in America"
"MIJ" = "Made in Japan"
"CIJ" = "Crafted in Japan" etc.

I have not tried the set you are refering to, but have used a couple of different Dragonfire pups.....a tele rails bridge and a tele set patterened after Fenders Texas Specials. They actually sound pretty good.

I wouldn't hesitate to give them a spin. If they work out, you are far ahead of the game....if not, at least you are not out a ton of money. Good luck!

I have not heard those but EMG pups are usually very good for rock. I don't care for active pups myself because I don't like needing a battery.

Those are the pick-upsI'm looking at, sorry for the long Ebay links hah.
And yeah, I was kinda hesitant to post this question on the Tele forum..Because I doubt many Tele owners would put EMG humbuckers in their guitar lol.
