General Questions on pickups

Hey there

I've been wondering lately...

Would a Zinc Plate and a Nickel cover turn an OV52 into a Nocaster set?

Just what is a "Modern Tele Sound"? I have heard Keystones described as this. Modern Tele is somewhat of an oxymoron as far as I can tell.

The henries and resistance spec is pretty close on a new nocaster bridge vs. a OV so it is possible it would sound close with the mod you mentioned.

I doubt the neck would be a match though.

Wire resistance, inductance values, magnets, all effect a pups tone so just changing what you mention isn't the only difference in the two models.

The Tele and it's tone has changed through the years as a lot of things have, so "modern" is just what they sound like lately vs. the 'ol dogs. (different vesions too)

A 2009 Cadillac is pretty modern, but a 1960 Cadillac is still.......... a Cadillac.
