What's in this paislacaster?
What type of pup's are in the recent paisley RI's that were selling at MF, I know the things were made in japan, but what type of pup's are in these things. I bought one recently.Has anybody switched the pups out on these particular guitars and does anybody have any recommendations on pups that have worked well on these.
Now...before everybody starts giving the same old pup references, let me respectfully and reverently preface this by saying that I've had lots, and lots of original and RI teles that I've done pup switch
outs with ie: SD alnico 2's, alnico 2 & 5,s,antiquities etc. So I've been around the perverbial tele block. What I'm looking for (w/the advantage of the vast knowledge available thru my fellow telephiles here on the tdpri) is something unique to these guitars that I have'nt considered. Thanks my fellow tele-think-tankers for any ideas.
An interesting story... I once had the oppurtunnity to buy the '68 paisley tele that Gatton used on Harlem Nocturn on the Fat Boys album... cheap, (that's right he played a '68 paisley on that cut).....but passed it up, huhh boy.
oh by the way what's the RI wood on the body? Basswood I assume?
Any stories welcome.
thanks you guys for your kind consideration on this,
chip
