Recommend a Tele Neck Pickup!!

I'm looking for a neck Pickup for my Tele. It's an ash/maple MIM 50's classic. I don't want to fool with routing or anything, so I'm just looking for a lipstick tube-sized pickup. My problem is that the pickup in the bridge is a pretty hot Voodoo TE50's Broadcaster which I LOVE. It's wound to a little over 9k w/43gauge wire. I want a neck pickup beefy enough to mesh nicely with the bridge when in the middle position. I guess I'm kinda looking for a P90 sound in the neck. I love the sound of a good P90 in the neck. Any suggestions? I contacted Steve Kersting and he recommended his Tall Tele neck pup (1/8" taller than a standard lipstick tube) wound with 42 gauge wire. Has anyone had any experience with this pickup? he has a 90 day return policy, so I'm thinking I might do this and just have him wind something else if It's not what i'm looking for.

SK Pickups

I have three of Steve's pickups and IMO, you just can't go wrong. He'll wind you what you want and if he recommends the tall tele...well, I'd take his word on it. I have a T-90 bridge pickup, Dualtone ll humbucer and a vintage wound tele neck. All are excellent pickups. You would have to spend twice as much to get a pickup taht compares with Steve's quality.

Some other suggestions for you though if you decide not to go the SK way:

1. Dimarzio Twang King.....One of the best sounding tele neck pups for the money out there IMO.

2. Duncan Antiquity: Another excellent sounding tele neck pup. More money, but you can find a deal on used ones.

3. Jason Lollar: Vintage wind or Special....What can I say...I LOVE Jason's pickups.

4. Electrokraft: Another bang for buck winner.

Many people here like Vintage Vibe's, Harmonic Design, Allan Hammels, Van Zandts, Fender vintage style and TS, OC Duff's, Curt Novak.....man, the list goes on! Many killer pickup winders out there. You really can't go wrong with any of them as they all put out quality goods.

The Suhr neckpu is fantastic i.m.h.o. Warm, greasy and enough punch to play lead.
Tomorrow I'm gonna pickup a set of Lollar Vintage pu's for my homebrew Tele. Í hope to post a review soon :)
