Keystone Pickups gone?

The keystone pickups website is just a parked page. Is it simply that Bill Lawrence forgot to renew his domain ownership or are they gone? Bill Lawrence's site is still up and running, but there is no way to look at the keystone pickups aside from a short little summary of them on the Wilde pickups site. I really hope they aren't gone because I was looking to buy a set for my upcoming tele.

I think that Wilde site is it.

Click on the Ordering & Contact button.

Drop them a note with your questions.

They will get back to you.

You'll send them money.

They'll send you pickups.

Not the best website.

Good people to do business with.

Great product.

That makes sense. I guess he's just simplifying the ordering process or something. I just find it weird that there is still a link to the keystone site and that there is no real info about the keystone pickups.

Here's a quote from Bill Lawrence's website:

"My philosophy is: if the product is right, the price is right and you treat your customers the way you want to be treated, the word-of-mouth is faster than the speed of sound!"

Here's my word of mouth (and I realize that there's lots of people on here that will be jumping all over me for saying this):

Great pickups and great prices or not, they won't get/don't deserve my business...

I wanted to purchase a pair of their humbuckers, so clicked on the ordering and contact button and asked about purchasing the pair I wanted.

A couple weeks passed, they never got back to me.

I'm pretty persistent, so I repeated the process and e-mailed again.... I waited for a reply... And waited... And waited.... Nada--no communication at all, not so much as a peep.... Now I was starting to really wonder what was up with them, and I was a little miffed, too.

I tried contacting them yet again, hoping that the previous two attempts had met with some sort of cyberspace disater and the third time would be the charm. It wasn't. In the intervening time between then and now, I have not heard even so much as a "kiss my ass" from the Lawrences.

[sarcasm] Now that's what I call great customer service.... [/sarcasm]

Hi Nash and the Keystones singles are alive and kicking! Basically, there are only two sets - one for Strat and one for Tele replacement. The Tele replacement set has different options for the neck position (Bill tooled up with beautiful neck covers for you purist - the chrome-plated neck housing - and two other colors, black and ivory with exposed pole pieces.) To simplify, we are in the process of setting up the e-commerce layout where you can just click on the "Keystone Standard TL set for $57.00 plus S/H", "Keystone Deluxe TL set for $64.00 plus S/H" and the "Keystone Singles set for Strat replacement for $75.00 plus S/H" at any ol time of the day you want...... and all of these single coils are made right here in our 2500 square foot workshop in the USA! In fact, most of our other program will be included in this e-commerce layout as well.

Not sure why godaddy removed the temporary site I had prepared which included the pricing. Anyway, Keystones will be a part of the Wilde site for future reference.

Hi echale iii and apologize for not responding. Until we get the e-commerce site up and our ordering system is modified where you can order without contacting Bill and me, please forward to me again your e-mail so I can advise.

All the best,

Becky

Thanks Becky, I appreciate the informative reply and it's good to hear that they are still being made. I haven't quite made up my mind, but once I get my new tele you guys are right up at the top of my list for new pickups.

Every day I play my Amer Series with Keystones after work. No matter what kind of day I've had they always put a smile on my face.

Got mine today and will install in my MIM Tele next week. Took about 10 days from order date until they got here. The Keystone Tele set that I got was for $57.00. That's officially less than $30 per pick up folks. Becky has been good via Email to help with the order. All the feedback has been positive for these pick ups that I have been reading on the forum and on the net. If they are half as good as I'm hearing, for the price how can you beat it?

Which of course brings us to the question of what happened to the micro/mini coils? Looks like they skipped right over to go to the new design NAMM 2009.
