Dimarzio Tone Zone?

Anyone tried the DiMarzio Tone Zone T for tele bridge? Any reviews?

Yup, I've got one. The sucker screams, but it sounds like a humbucker. However, if you coil-tap it it's pretty twangy. Load one up - you'll be glad you did.

Thanks. So, what do you have it paired with in the neck position?

Dimarzio Area T. All the Tele neck sweetness and none of the hum. I originally bought a Tele because I love the woody neck pup tone for blues. The Area T gives me all of that and then some, plus it's whisper quiet under high gain situations. And yes, it growls when you step on it. I've been very happy with the combination.

Cool. I was planning to pair the tone zone with an area T in the neck, so this info is very helpful. I have the area T neck and bridge combo in another tele, love the tones of the bridge, but need something more aggressive and humbucker like for this project.

In fact I just bought an Area T neck pickup from another forum member. Now if I can find a Tone Zone for the right price...

I've had one for a quite a spell now. It works very, very well for what I need. I have it wired to a mini on-on-on switch, so in addition to the excellent bucker tone, I can get parallel and split. As Parma said, the split sound is pretty darn twangy. Perhaps the best ( and most 'tele' like ) I've heard out of a pickup of this type.

I use a Zhangliqun PureHandwound bucker ( which I dearly love ) in the neck position. The two mate beautifully together and compliment each other very well. ...and the parallel tone mixed with the neck pup is just flat out delicious.

I've been looking on Ebay for weeks and haven't seen a single used TZT. The cheapest available new seems to be in the $65-$70 range. Anyone got one they want to pass along?

I have one in one of my "Rocker" Tele. If you want to rock, it's winner. I'm happy with it.
