Quarter pounders; with cheese!
Hiya
IMHO, depends on what you're replacing and what you seek tonewise. I've noticed that when they first came out folks liked 'em because they sounded hotter and 'bigger'. After a while, the Tele guys usually pulled them back out. OK for Rock but little else. Like JohnS said, spankless. |

Hard to balance...
... with most "Tele-ish" neck pups, it's just too hot and dark. Agree with the above posts.
I have a pal who had one in a Tele, with a DiMarzio humbucker in the neck, and you could hardly hear the difference when he switched between the two pups! He DID love the big sound of that bridge pup, though. I finally matched it up with a S-D Quarter Pounder Strat neck pup, and it finally became a usable instrument - but it sounds like a dang SG Special, not a Tele! |

I had one in my bridge years ago. It is a hotter and darker pickup--but it ain't like a tele. Took it out after about 6 months. It isn't a bad pickup--it just isn't tele sounding.
