Anybody tried the Seymour Duncan BG 1400
On paper it seems exactly what I want. Tele twang with a P 90 growl and no hum. Problem is, it won't get here for another 3 weeks so am wondering what I am in for. I've only seen the Billy Gibbons footage at namm and the Fender custom shop top bound esquire on You Tube. Anybody tried them and if so, what were your impressions?

I've got one -
Clean it's not my cup of tea but with med to higher drive/gain it's very much like a "tele/les paul" to me... I ended up taking it out of that guitar... I also didn't like the way it sounded with the neck pick up (twisted tele) in this case... though the BG and Twisted Tele are both sitting in my pile of pick ups right now... |

I have a BG-1400 in my American Standard in Esquire format after seeing Billy @ namm 2008 on youtube. Clean nothing special, but when overdrive is used this is one hot unit. Will easily push an amp ready to give it up into tonal bliss.
