First Post.. SD BG-1400 wiring ?

HI
this is my first post, but I have been reading this forum for a few months. anyways i have an esquire with a SD broadcaster pickup in it with standard wiring. it sounds good but i just bought a SD BG-1400 and want to put it in. i saw the only wiring diagram on there website is for 1. series 2. split 3. parallel. i was just wondering how everyone else who has one wires it. also do i have to do any mods to the wiring if i put a no load tone pot?

Thanks for coming in!

I don't know much about your new pickup, but here's a link to Arlo West with an Esquire-like guitar demo and wiring that's pretty cool.

Update
I put in the pickup and used the wiring diagram from seymour duncans website:

http://www.seymourduncan.com/support...tic=esquire_hb

the front position sounds good but the middle and bridge positions have a very low output almost not audible. i know all my soldering is good, has anyone had problems with wiring to this diagram? if so are there any other diagrams?

I tried a few more diagrams and i cant seem to make it work. i wired it back to the duncan diagram and it still has the same problem. sounds great in the neck position, but in the middle and bridge positions there is barely any sound. the volume and tone work in these positions. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do a forum search for the BG1400. I've posted a schematic used in an Esquire that will put a smile on your face. The volume & tone pots are 250k ohm and a .047 tone cap is used. Welcome to the TDPRI.

Position 1- volume and tone control
Position 2- volume control only
Position 3- direct out with no volume or tone control

Thanks shades!! i wired it up and tied the red/white together and put the green/bare to ground and black to the switch. it sounded like a single coil with very low output. i switched it around so i had the black/white together and the red to the switch. now it sounds great! i was just wondering if maybe something is wrong with my pickup because only one position worked on the series/split/parallel wiring i had, and then when i tied the red/white together for it to be a humbucker it had low output. is there anything i can check with a ohm meter?

thanks
