Nocaster pup's for a great price!!

The prices on these were just touched on the other day, in another thread, and I thought I'd pass along a great source for these, and a great price as well!! $98.99 - NEW, in the box. I have used these guys before, several different times, and the service is outstanding! Ship immediately, you get what you pay for, and quickly answer any questions. Give them a try - you won't be dissapointed!

That sure is a good deal, BUT..... (and there's always a "but"):

That just sucks.....

I was going to order from them, but they don't encrypt the credit card information and the site looks a little too amateur for my comfort level. Great prices for those who want to take a chance.

I understand, but as I said before, I've ordered from them several times (with a credit card), and have never had a problem! But, if you are too unsure......then don't!!!!

Yeah, I've been dealing with these guys for a month now . . .

I put in an order with these guys for a pair of Nocasters as well as OVs . . . since their prices on both were the best I have found . . . placed the order on 8/03/2009 and was told they would ship in 3 to 5 days. Then I get an email saying they are out of stock and it would be 3 weeks or so (they said the first email was an auto-response). Then I wait and ask about status after 3 weeks, and they tell me this, on 9/05/2009:

"We are in negotiations with Fender. Over the past years we have done huge numbers of Fender pickups. Fender's prices have gone through the roof. We are trying to negotiate better terms. In addition they are being a little difficult with their Minimum Advertised Pricing (MAP). Management tells me that if we can't work it out we will stop carrying their pickups. We should have an answer this week."

No word back from them yet . . . If I dont hear by Friday, I will send them a note. I've been patient, and they are nice enough and communicate reasonably well, but it's been a month already . . . . and since I got my new bridge, I am ready to swap out the pups on my AV52 (which came with SD and DiMarzio replacements from prior owner) . . . but no pups in hand yet . . .

Looks like there wont be any more nocaster (or any Fender) pickups coming from justpickups.com . . .

After waiting for a month for my order to be filled, they wrote and told me this:

"We are in negotiations with Fender. Over the past years we have done huge numbers of Fender pickups. Fender's prices have gone through the roof. We are trying to negotiate better terms. In addition they are being a little difficult with their Minimum Advertised Pricing (MAP). Management tells me that if we can't work it out we will stop carrying their pickups. We should have an answer this week."

Then a subsequent email said:

"It is safe to say that we are dropping Fender pickups unless there is some miracle. I am sorry. At this point I would say you may want to pickup your pickups elsewhere. Very sorry for the inconvenience."

Best consistent lowest price on ebay for new nocasters is around 119, w/ free shipping. Found one new pair for $80 from a non-store seller, and grabbed them. Hopefully they are new like he claimed . . . .
