Changing pot value tame brights??
Have a great Carvin Bolt with their ceramic pups, and tone /volume with 500k values.
Can be bright-strident on high strings. Will replacing pots with 250k's help some??

I've found that the volume pot has more of an effect than the tone pot. You may want to try switching to 250ks one pot at a time - you might like the effect with, say, a 250 vol and 500 tone best, or the other way around.
