switching from CS Nocaster pup - go w/ Antiquity or SD Broadcaster?
I'm contemplating changing the pickup in my Esquire, which currently has a Fender Custom Shop '51 Nocaster bridge pickup in it. While I love the sound, sometimes it's a little too sharp sounding in the "esquire" position (i.e. tone knob bypassed).
I'm looking at either the Duncan Antiquity I w/ A2 mags, or possibly the Duncan Broadcaster pickup. I'd like to have something w/ the same sort of mids that the Nocaster pup has (maybe even a tad more), and with a little more compression when it gets wound up; a little less edgy. Which would work better for this application? |
