Fralin P-90 advise please.

I am ordering up a set of Fralin P-90 at a discount. Almost never see these discounted.

I may or may not use both in Neck positions on Teles. Thus a hotter bridge Fralin may make it's way into the neck position of a Tele.

My questions:

I THINK: I would lean toward Alnico underwounds. 10% neck and 5% Bridge. Maybe 15%N and 10%Br.

Opinions, what should I expect if I under wind, don't want to go too much. Alnico V/S Ceramic etc...

I have a pair of fralins in a Fano JM6, kind of a jazzmaster vibe. THey are not honky, they are very bell like and clear. beautiful pickups.

I have a pair of Fralins in my midf 70s Les Paul 55. The thing I did different is I got his alnico pole version for the neck. Neck is 5% under, bridge is 5% over. They sound great.

I'd recommend underwound. It's really easy to overpower a Tele bridge pu with a P90 in the neck unless the bridge is really overwound.

I have a similar setup, Lindy's recommendation was a 10% underwind on the alnico neck p90 with the blues bridge pickup I ordered. Good balance!

I passesed on them as much as I did not want to. I bought the Squier 51 on the Help My Pup thread, so the 132.00 for the P-90s, as much as it pains me to pass on that price, had to go on the back burner yet again. ;)
And I made an offer on something else as well, so if that offer does not fly and I passed on the Fralins in lew of, I will have something to moan about for a few days...
