Standard Tele p'up install question.............
Do new pickups typically come with a long length of wire to be routed through the body or just short ones, where you just snip the leads of the old p'up and solder the new onto on the old leads? Any help as well as tips would be greatly appreciated because this will be my first do it yer' self install and don't want to run into someting unexpected. btw I'm installing two rio grande muy grande's

New pickups almost always come with very long leads. Take the old ones out by unsoldering the ends that connect to the switch and the pots, and wire the new ones in the same way. With two Rio Grande brand pickups going in, you won't need to worry about phasing, which sometimes comes up with pickups of different makes. Not every pickup maker puts the magnets and windings in the same direction.
