Removing tone pot from circuit?
I want to wire my 2004 Am Std without a tone pot. I have heard it opens up the tone. I never use the tone pot so I would like to take it out of the circuit.
My guitar has a Nashville pickup config. I want volume pot, my 5 way switch out to output jack. Are there any wiring diagrams on the site like that? Thanks Greg |

I printed off a cool diagram by Terry Downs something like this. I wanted a nashville setup and I don't use tone controls either. His version uses a 3 way switch like Brent Mason's setup and what used to be the tone control works as a volume for the middle pickup. Very cool, let me know if you're interested and I'll try and look that up for ya.
