Pickup Poles
Maybe I don't know the technical term for the threaded "poles" on a humbucker, but I have always called them poles. My question is: can I unscrew them completely to paint the tops of the pickups? I just dont want springs or something to go flying. This is on a heavily modified 72 Tele Deluxe fitted with 70s vintage DiMarzios. This guitar is undergoing an extreme makeover with some surgery too. I hope to post pics when it's complete.
