Zhangliquin single-coils...
... just had Zhang wind me three single coils for my Strat... amazing pickups. Asked him for something with a Gilmourish tone and he just nailed it. Depth, clarity, just enough oomph, excellent quack in positions 2 and 4, and the most amazing bridge pickup I've ever had the pleasure of playing. Oomph, cut, with zero harshness.
He has a business classified on the Les Paul Forum and the thefenderforum.com. I can't over recommend him. He handwound two humbuckers for my Les Paul as well and they were a huge upgrade. The guy knows his stuff and is reasonably priced. Contact him if you are looking for pups!

He doens't have a website, but does list a classified post on the two forums I mentioned - I believe his email address is zhangbucker@yahoo.com

Cool beans Sabu! I've been singing Zhangs praises for quite some time now. Every pickup I've received from him has been outstanding.
Just put one of his Pure Handwound buckers in the neck of my tele and it is far and away the best fit for this guitar out of the many fine pickups I've used. I want to spend a bit more time with it before posting a review, but so far, I'm just blown away by how amazing this pickup is. His pricing is darn good too. ....plus, he's a great guy! |

Completely agreed, BB!
His pricing is actually silly low, considering the quality of his work... I keep entertaining the thought of putting a PureHandwound in the neck of my Tele as I just adore the ones I got from him for my Les Paul. But I'm leaving that one as is... ... for now :)

Yep.....that was my thought.....I've had a Manlius bucker in the neck of my tele for a year or so now.....the longest time I've gone without swapping. I was totally happy with it and it has been one of the best pups ever ( and I've been through a lot! ) in this guitar. The PureHandowund is a different beast altogether, but I bonded with it instantly. It ain't comin' out!
