The Telennium
Built "pre-Ebay" in 1998, vintage status! :D The neck, body and hardware were all acquired over the internet. 3 lb. semihollow swamp ash body set up for vintage hardware, rear rout controls, custom ordered from Edenhaus. I did all the neck mounting prep and drilling, and drilled the ferrule settings flush. I finished the body totally with sovent based materials, amber anilyn dye and nitrocellulose lacquer clear topcoats. Schecter birdseye maple vintage style Tele neck. 7 pick up selections p/p volume pot. The 52RI neck pu has been replaced with a Barden the 52RI bridge pu and Gibson P90 remain. Control knobs are now speed knobs. Fun to share it occassionally on the Page, thanks, Mik

I'll hopefully be joing this club around the end of the year. Got my custom-built in process.
Swamp Ash body, Rio Grande pickups, Warmoth neck. It should turn out looking something like this:

Here are a few of mine
Some are in various stages of development.
![]() ![]() This is the next one I'll do - my son is going to end up with the butterscotch one. ![]() My long term project still looks something like this, although I've sliced a slab off so I can rout the Thinline cavities. ![]() ![]() Keeps me off the streets. Dean[/url]

I had a Red maple neck '97 American Standard that I wasn't getting along with so I...
replaced the neck with a warmoth rosewood boat w/ bone nut. vintage style tuners, and string tree. So now I'm going to put the 52 style decal on the headstock of a rosewood neck I replaced the cruddy pickups with a standard seymour duncan neck pickup and a '54 reissue seymour duncan bridge pickup. and I'm anxiously awaiting the Larry Fontana saddles. I think it needs a pinup sticker to finish it off. At this stage its already playable and it feels really good to know that you can't buy one like this. |

Here's my modest homebrew...
... submitted for your approval. USACG wood w/mjtele relic body, lap steel pickup, `50's Classic hardware w/brass saddles, and my own neck finishing job. Be it ever so humble in comparison it still sounds and plays exactly the way I'd hoped it would.

Thanks for the compliment, Scotland;...
I used Robben Ford's Tele as the inspiration for mine. I saw it on the cover of one of his most recent CD's and I thought it was pretty hip looking. I've never had a rosewood board Fender so I thought I'd give it a try. Someone posted a really high resolution photo of his guitar a while back. You might want to dig it out before you start working on yours. Good luck!

My daughter's Esquire, my blackguard copy (it's a late '53/early '54 copy -- not a "fiddy-two"), and my double-bound. I'm sure you've all heard far too much about them, so that's all I'll say. Here's the pic:

I'll play!
So far, I only have one. The body was made from an 80+ year old piece of spruce. The gold knobs have been replaced with chrome ones now.

My homegrowns
![]() Fender white ash body, B Hefner neck finished with Minwax, Schaller (?) bridge, Lace pickups. I'm thinking about getting a mint guard and switching out the bridge for a 3 saddle job. Definitely needs a Vargas girl sticker. ![]() Schecter bound walnut body, Allparts neck finished with Minwax, Schaller (?) bridge, Fender Tex Mex in the neck, Duncan in the bridge. |

Here's mine.
Warmoth neck and body. Body is semi-hollow alder with a maple cap. Neck is maple with ebony. Pickups are SD vintage P90s. Most of the hardware and finishing supplies came from StewMac.

Here's a couple of mine
The Seusscaster
This is the one my mom hand painted for me. ![]() more pics: http://www.hackolutions.com/seuss/Seuss%20002.jpg http://www.hackolutions.com/seuss/Seuss%20005.jpg http://www.hackolutions.com/seuss/Seuss%20006.jpg http://www.hackolutions.com/seuss/Seuss%20007.jpg http://www.hackolutions.com/seuss/Seuss%20009.jpg http://www.hackolutions.com/seuss/Seuss%20012.jpg The Creamcaster It started off wanting to be an Antigua but I couldn't find a good color source for my painter. The first three pictures are before I got the scalloped neck for it so it's got the neck off my 50's classic. ![]() more pics: http://www.hackolutions.com/newgear/creamcasterback.jpg http://www.hackolutions.com/newgear/creamcasterfull.jpg These have the scalloped Warmoth neck: http://www.hackolutions.com/cream1.jpg http://www.hackolutions.com/cream2.jpg http://www.hackolutions.com/cream3.jpg The Bari-Tele This started life as a 50's classic Tele. I hated the itty-bitty frets. When I went to order a replacement neck I decided to order a baritone conversion neck instead. I swapped the pickguard too.

Count me in for three...
... but pardon the lack of fidelity in the pics.
I hope Santa gets my letter about a new digital camera...! My first-est and favoritest: mahogany thinline body, mahogany Warmoth "Gibson scale conversion" neck, stock issue Fender AmStd Tele bridge pup, Vintage Vibe Strat RW/RP neck pup, SuperSwitch wired in the infamous "Deaf Eddie Five-Tone-Tele" scheme... ![]() A WD Parts-O-Caster I put together more "stockish," to demo the Five-Tone-Tele scheme, loaded with Fender TexMex Specials... ![]() ...And a wild thinline with a set of James Wagner rewinds on some old Gibbie frames and bobbins (pre-Fillmore for James), with my take on the Jimmy Page four push/pulls Les Paul scheme... Oh yeah, and a Kahler!
