I was first attracted to the White Falcon because of The Cult's Billy Duffy. I bought the model he played - the 7593 - and sometimes play it with the gear he used (Boss OD pedal and Roland Jazz Chorus).

Ahh, you installed a Chet arm. Chet arms not only look cool, but they fit the hand perfectly. I like mine. |

Thank you Taxer...it's a great guitar! It works great for what I do...I also find it to be very versatile with the various tonal options...I love mine so much, it changed my life as a musician, completely...I still have a Telecaster, my first true love but I only take it out for playing funk nowadays...

Have to say, you don't play it like a Falcon. What you are doing in that video is not what most do with a Falcon. That's what makes that performance real good. I like how the warmth of the intro with its Bigsby waves goes into a percussive rhythm. No kidding around, very impressive performance overall. Plus the Falcon is great visually for what you are doing. The white and gold of the Falcon adds a touch of class to your performance.
You should post that video over at the Gretsch forums. Even though 99% of the folks over there think a Gretsch is just for guys wearing bowling shirts with greased ducktail haircuts, I think people will dig it there. |

Thank you taxer, you really get what this performance was about...I'm glad someone does...I am very interested in using instruments outside of what the style they're supposed to represent!
I get what you're saying, people associate Gretsch with rockabilly but these guitars can be used for so much more! You should check out more of my music, I posted heaps of videos on my channel...featuring the Falcon & my Rick 12...My album is on the way too!

Thanks Martin82. I think I have posted the video there last year to great reception, the folks there are nice, also many talented players, both rockabilly and non rockabilly...
I have to say, though my music is not rockabilly at all, I do appreciate that style a lot. I wanted to recommend you guys the Stray Cats - Rumble in Brixton DVD. If you are a Gretsch fan, trust me there is nothing better you will ever see or hear.
