Well, alright, I qualify for this one. Texas born and bred, and I thank God every day that I'm alive and livin' in Texas. And I have 3 Teles. All 3 are custom built by Bob Logan.

My Logan Custom Mahogany. Solid mahogany body, Birdseye maple neck & board, with amber tint. Gold appointments, vintage 3 saddle style bridge, 3-ply blackguard, P-90 neck pup.

My Logan Custom "Logo" Thinline. This guitar is the prototype of Bob's "Logo" Thinlines, where the cutout on the body approximates the script "L" of the name Logan on the headstock. Honey Blonde body, Pine core, 3/8" Alder veneers top and back, maple neck, vintage style bridge.

My Logan Custom Butterscotch Blonde Blackguard, Birdseye maple neck & board. Kluson style tuners, DiMarzio Twang King pups, 4-way switching, Logan Custom bridge.

Family shot. "Hanging Teles on the wall, doesn't bother me at all..."

Thanks. Good club idea. I know there are a lot of Texans on TDPRI. I'm not only replying to you, I am bumping up this thread so hopefully more Texas Tele guys will notice and join up.

That's a nice one, too. Looks like the neck of a Squier Strat (Standard or Deluxe Hot Rails?) with a homebrew pine body. Is that some old pine from a barn or something? Man, I think that natural finish, ol' pine look appeals to a lot of Texans. I know it does to me.

What about the pups? What are they, and are you going to have a middle position pup?

thanks i call it the otis-caster it was made useing 30 or 40 year old pine boards that used to be part of some docks down in houston then they were trailer boards for about 15 years then they sat in my dads barn for another 12 years and then i found them and built a tele out of one.

it has a tru-oil finish and the neck is off a squire standard strat, and the pickgaurd and pickups are out of a blackout tele a friend had, he changed the pickups and gave me the old ones and the pickgaurd. due to work i can't finish the guitar like i want to for a while, i'd like to build a neck and the bridge and saddles and put some better pickups in it.

here's the build thread http://www.tdpri.com/forum/tele-home...rst-build.html

Left one is a Korean Koa tele which since this photo has been modded with some Glendale saddles, a Duncan Jerry Donahue bridge pickup and a pearl Harmonic Design Vintage Plus neck pickup. It looks "esquire-ey" from a few feet because of the matching pickup cover.

The right one started as a standard MIM nashville (desert sand or honey blonde, not sure) and the only thing left stock is the neck, body and tuners. It has Glendale saddles, Fender Custom Shop Nocasters in the bridge and neck, and a Fender Custom Shop 54 Strat in the middle. The standard three way switch is for the neck and bridge (n, n+b, b) and the middle is controlled by the 3 way mini toggle between the volume and tone: position 1 is middle off, position 2 is middle plus whatever is on the main neck/bridge switch, and position 3 is middle pickup only. It also has a push pull on the volume for putting the middle out of phase for fun :)

Hi, my name is Alan and I'm a Tele-holic... Ha!

I was born and raised in Fort Worth but I've lived in Dallas, Tyler, moved back to Ft Worth 5 years ago.

Here's my assembled collection, got some on the back burner too... like another fender b-bender tele body with the same finish as in the pic, planning on reranch sonic blue with a rw fretboard mini humbucker neck, and standard bridge pup

far left: Warmoth neck on a MIM body with the avri bridge glendale saddles I might change the pups to some p90 ish tele pups, haven't decided

next to it: Fender Nashville B-Bender Tele with Hipshot G bender w/ Barden Danny Gattons, this is now a gigbag only guitar... hmm

next: Fender CS Nocaster Light Relic totally stock except for Glendale saddles and a modded into a flatter fretboard radius, its pretty close to a 10 degree radius which sufficently reduced the price; and I like the modern 9.5 or more radius.

far right: Fender Nashville Deluxe Tele, this pic was taken a few weeks back before the nash d got a black pickguard and a gibby 57 classic in the neck now. I love this setup. Kind of a Keef job

I love Texas and Teles so I had to plug my modest tele stable.
